Currently I am a stay-at-home mom of two young boys. My husband and I make our home in Alabama. We enjoy the conveniences of being near a large city but live in a rural enough area that the boys see tractors working on a regular basis.
Before the blessing of motherhood, I received a PhD in physics/astronomy from Brigham Young University. I also enjoyed teaching college level courses in the physical sciences. I now teach these courses online for several local community colleges. This allows me to foster my passion for teaching but remain at home with my kids.
I also teach younger children science and am aiming to help the homeschool community in our area by providing them with classes through our company Whiteboard Workshop. We are in the infant stage of this endeavor and very eager to see it succeed.
When time permits, my hobbies include reading and cooking. I have been an avid reader my entire life (thanks Mom!) and enjoy historical fiction and recently have been reading mystery novels as well. I also like well written history books. I am not a fabulous cook but do enjoy it and like trying out ideas I get from the Food Network.
My husband and I met in college. He is a wonderful husband and father and I won't embarrass him further. He has been blessed with a job he loves as a trade show exhibit designer. His primary hobby is photography. We also both enjoy membership and service in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
